What a wonderful way to honor a husband who is a U. S. Soldier. Thanks to Chestnut Junction for the pattern. I have painted and stitched the heart and then added 5 star shaped buttons to the top. The words around the heart say "I am the wife of a United States Soldier. I vow to love honor and cherish in times of war, and in times of peace. God Bless." I will then stitch the soldier's name, rank etc. on the bottom. I will use abbreviations when possible. The measurements are approx. 10 1/2 inches wide by 14 inches in length and a total of 18 inches which includes the hanger. I have added a wood dowel at the top with a wood ball on each end to complete this hanging. This item has been stained with a coffee and tea mix. I can leave it unstained if you prefer, just let me know at check-out, if unstained the background will be white. The trim may vary from the picture, it depends on what the store has available when I shop. A very special thanks to my friend Erik and his wife for allowing me to use his name for this craft.
